Dance with Passion at Expressions Dance Academy of Wolfeboro

Christine Livie has had extensive dance, performance, and instructional experience in the fine arts of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip-Hop, Lyrical and Musical Theatre. Her education started with over 16 years of dance instruction from Susan Winter’s School of Dance in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Pointe before receiving her degree in Dance from Dean College, Franklin, MA. During her time at Dean, Christine was a member of the Tap and Modern Dance Companies and was privileged to have received the Carrie Grant Chilson award for dance excellence. She was invited, and attended, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre’s Summer Intensive Program in New York City. During that time she also trained at Broadway Dance Center.

Christine Livie had the honor and pleasure of dancing under the instruction of Donald McKayle at the Boston Summer Dance Festival, which included a performance at Boston City Hall Plaza. Christine also performed at a half-time show alongside Cirque du Soleil, at a New England Revolution game held at Gillette Stadium. Christine continues to educate herself by attending workshops such as Northeast Workshop for Dancers and Dance Masters Of America in Buffalo, NY. Of all the accomplishments in Christine’s dance career, her greatest achievement is watching her students perform with distinction at their Annual Spring Performances, Dance Competitions and Showcases.

Christine also takes great pride in her students’ involvement, in past and present events, for the Wolfeboro Community such as the Festival of Trees, 4th of July parade, Summer Solstice, Taste Sights and Sounds, and the Scarecrow Festival. Under her direction her students have also performed at a New Hampshire Fishercats game as well as a Manchester Monarchs Game. Most recently her students were hired by BookAFlashMob.com for a private event in Freedom NH.

Robin Young began her dance education at the age of 2 at the Geraldine C. Hoffman School of Dance in Buffalo, New York.  She studied ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, tap and tumbling with various instructors and attended many dance conventions during her 15 years at the school.  As a student she competed in numerous competitions in Upstate New York and Pennsylvania earning silver medals at the new York Dance Olympics and several 1st place finishes at the Summer Dance Festival.  After taking time away from dancing to pursue a career in another area and start her family, Robin's love for dance has brought her back to the studio as a teacher.  She is thrilled to be part of the dance community again and to share her enthusiasm with the students at Expressions Dance Academy.

​​Starting at the age of 3 years old I fell in love with dance while watching ballets on VCR. It’s holds a special place in my heart because my mom was a professional ballerina and gifted me with that same passion for it. Together we would take trips to see the Boston Ballet and I eventually started taking open classes there. I’ve trained at multiple dance studios along the east coast but my home will always be at Expressions. I was a student at EDA for seven years and have been a teacher since 2022. When not teaching I am training and performing with New Englands premier gogo troupe, Onyxx.

Kaylin Dean has had training with several dance schools in the arts of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Modern, Lyrical, and Musical Theatre. During her dance education, she was a member of competitive dance teams and traveled all over the state of New Hampshire to compete in regional dance competitions. She has won numerous High Gold and High Platinum awards for her choreography, along with a title at Olympic Miss. She was also a youth dance ambassador for Dance Troupe International in 2004.

Kaylin has had the privilege of attending the Rockette Summer Intensive at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, where she trained under Karen Keeler, Kat Steers, and Chrystie Kenny in Rockette-style precision technique. At the conclusion of the intensive program, she had the honor of performing Rockette choreography on the great stage at Radio City. She frequently continues her education by attending workshops and conventions.

Meinhard Valentine has been breakdancing professionally for well over a decade. Primarily throughout the greater Boston area he has been hired to choreograph, perform, and teach breakdancing as well as hip hop to everyone from recreational learners all the way to collegiate performance groups. Meinhard has travelled to every U.S. coast as well as overseas to locations like Japan, Korea, Germany, Taiwan, and France to compete, perform and further his own expertise in breakdancing. Meinhard’s main focus is to not only teach the the technical form of his art, but to spread a love and appreciation for hip hop culture as a whole.
